Define which TradingView product you mean
An alert on a price level, a community idea and a strategy script are separate things. TradingView documents different alert conditions and frequencies. Decide whether you need a notification engine or someone else's decision rule; the quality of one author's instructions cannot be inferred from the charting platform.
Preserve the rule that generated the alert
The alert documentation notes that later indicator changes do not automatically change an existing alert's settings. Record the symbol, interval, inputs, trigger frequency and version actually active. Pine's repainting discussion is relevant when historical visuals differ from real-time behaviour. A clean historical chart is not enough to establish what a subscriber saw.
Use a reproducible comparison
Log duplicate, missing and expired alerts alongside useful ones. For an external order route, test its rejection and duplicate-handling policy without risking capital. No private script, webhook chain or paid subscription was tested here. Compare the published rule and your own observed forward log rather than assigning the entire platform a provider win rate.
